A Quick Note About Chile Underground Site Registration
It’s a sad day in Internetland, folks.
Due to a recent assault on the Chile Underground by SPAM comments and registrations, I’ve had to beef up my site protection. (Yes, I know; Spam isn’t made from beef. It’s not that kind of Spam.) I got 47 bogus posts in less than an hour yesterday, with ads for everything from Viagra to lonely women in Manchuria…
Here’s the deal. You can look all you want, download recipes like before, and so on. If you’re just the casual observer, nothing’s changed. Registration’s not required for any of that.
If you want to comment, however, you’ll have to join the site. And that will require you to take a couple minutes, fill out a form, and then check your email for a confirmation. That way I know it’s really you, and not some silicon entity trying to hack in or dump loads of junque on my site.
I’ve put this off as long as I can, but it’s the price you pay for fame and fortune, I suppose. Sorry for the inconvenience. I still want you to visit, to comment if you choose, and to have fun here.
Oh, and as for the fortune part, don’t forget to click the Donate Button like a starving rat in a testing cage every time you visit. Or at least once in a while, okay?
