The Chile Underground has reached our First Year Milestone! Time to celebrate…
In an industry where most blogs have the staying power of a papier mâché billboard in a hurricane, we’ve hung in there. Through thick and thin, trials and tribulations, Internet outages and some Really Bad Buffets, we’ve brought you the finest in recipes, travelogues and Follies.
We who toil on the Chile Underground’s Food, Travel and Insanity Editorial Board are proud of our accomplishments. We have more recipes than any other chile-focused site on the Web. That steals poaches borrows interprets authenic dishes from the great tastes you encounter when traveling to the Spicy Food Countries of the World. Oh, and has the über-cool name of Chile Underground, of course.
Ah, the things we’ve suffered through for our visitors! Thai, Chinese and Malaysian dishes; slogging through monsoon rains to find the perfect chicken tikka; long rides in First Class to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei and more. Yes, dear reader, We Do It All Just For YOU!
If you’re a regular visitor, then you should seek professional help immediately I applaud your persistence and perspicacity. Not to mention your good taste in blogs. Tell all your friends! (And I really mean both of them this time.) With your help, the Chile Underground can go viral in its second year and achieve complete World Domination continue to amuse, inform and otherwise improve your personal life.
If you’ve only found the Chile Underground World Headquarters recently, then you’re late, but you can still make up ground quickly. Read all the posts, try out all the recipes, and send your (wildly enthusiastic) compliments on the back of a $20 bill to us. If you need better paper, use a $100 or larger; they’re usually less wrinkled. (You really need to do this review thingie; all the old-timers here have! Trust me…)
Of course, we’ll be sure to acknowledge any and all kind words of any denomination that type…
