Almost Thanksgiving: Get the Desserts Ready!

If you’ve been following along at home, you know by now that the recipes I’m sharing aren’t for a traditional Thanksgiving. There’s maybe 47 bajillion sites that have those ideas; even Google throws a hissie fit when you search for that.

Staying “in character,” then, here are a couple concepts for dessert:

The first item takes a bit of work, but the effect will be well worth it. If you thought your diners looked like stunned carp after the main course, wait until they lock their lips onto these delectable goodies! Peaches, cream cheese, puff pastry, and of course, an unexpected zing from the chiles in the preserves. Yum! I can’t wait.

The Chipotle Glazed Pecans can be eaten by themselves, for those who don’t want a full dessert. They can be incorporated into many other dessert ideas, or simply sprinkled on ice cream as a garnish. Shoot, use them to garnish any sweet, they’ll hold their own and then some…
