A major portion of the Clan is making its annual pilgrimage today to the Texas Renaissance Festival near Plantersville. It’s opening day, and rain is expected; we know it’ll be slippy-slidy crazy good fun! Period music (Cantiga, The Burly Minstrel Jim Hancock, Wine and Alchemy, Istanpitta, The Bilge Pumps, The Gypsy Guerrilla Band, Tartanic) shows (Shunyata Belly Dance! The Sturdy Beggars! Arsene! Ded Bob!!), demonstrations (glass blowing, metal working, the mint and more) feasting, drinking, wenching, brawling and general merriment will abound! (I’m delegating my brawling this year; bad shoulder, don’tcha know.) New stuff gets added every year; we can hardly wait!
We’ll have a full report in a few days, after we’ve gotten over our hangover recovered from our wounds returned and rested…
Enjoy the (Culturally Educational Fall Festival) Heat!
