I haven’t drawn to a halt quite yet, but suddenly the going’s quite tough on the NaNoWriMo Challenge. My first two days I got over 21,000 words. Today I got a little less than 5,000. I realize that’s a pretty big day in its own right, and I really only needed 1,500 to maintain pace to complete the Death March Challenge by the end of the month.
But I want the win, now. I want to get to the finish line before the keys on my computer all burst into flame, or something…
In other news, I got my Chile Pepper Cooking Magazine. I haven’t had time to look through it yet, but I promise, I’ll take a break (sometime in the next 2-3 weeks) and put up a recipe or two. The cover shows some nice Thanksgiving stuff, undoubtedly zestier than traditional dishes. And there’s a teaser about Ras el Hanout, a special seasoning from north Africa that I want to try out. So stick around, the battle’s just begun! I’ll see about those recipes later on.
Now for the part you’ve all been waiting for: The scoreboard! Words Today: 4,760; Total Words: 26,380; Completion: 51.8%. I’m over half way! It’s downhill from here; more coffee, I’m going back in…
Enjoy the (Spinning Wordmeter) Heat!
