Follies: Edible Clay, Eu de Play-Doh, and a Website You Can’t Live Without

This entry is part of a series, Follies 2011»

Play with ClayKids will eat anything. Which leads to toys like Yummy Dough’s edible clay. Roll it, shape it, bake it, eat it. Seems I’m only about 50 years or so too late; mom always hated it when I ate clay from the back yard. Did wonders for my digestion, I’ve been told.

Some might even go so far as to say it’s made me what I am today. (I’m too modest to make such a bold claim.)

Speaking of kids eating anything, remember when, as a kid in grade school you’d eat your Play-Doh to gross out the girl in the next row? Well, maybe turnabout’s fair play. Now there’s Play-Doh cologne spray, one of the new aromas that take us back to a gentler time. Way back, in this case. We don’t know if the cologne doubles as a breath mint or not (use at your own risk). But you can always keep a can of your favorite color in your cube, just in case you need a pick-me-up snack or need to get your boss thinking about something besides that deadline you just missed. (And the revenue the company’s not getting as a consequence.)

Finally, for you folks who are abjectly hooked on enjoy a modern power drink or six during the day, here’s a website you simply must bookmark and keep handy on your smartphone too. Without it, you won’t know where you limit is and you might accidentally overdose! Now wouldn’t that be a shame. How would you explain to your significant other? Especially when you didn’t really buy that big life insurance policy for them like you said you would.

Better take a look now, just in case…

Enjoy the (Food and Drink Weirdness) Heat!
