The Congress is at it again. They want to be able to count pizza and French fries as vegetables on school lunch menus. Well, even that’s not entirely true; it’s the tomato sauce on the pizza that would count. (Everybody knows that no self-respecting kid, forced to eat lunch with their peers, would ever eat a pizza with anything on it but pepperoni and cheese. So maybe the bureaucrats are onto something.)
This effort is in direct response to the “Obama initiative” to serve healthier lunches to kids. Say what you will about Obama and his politics; sometimes he may actually get something right. By accident. Whatever; it’s nuts for this to be a political battlefield at the moment. Get the kids some better food first! And how about some jobs and getting the economy back in motion, eh guys? But I digress… (Sound effects of soap box sliding back underneath the desk.)
Take this as yet another bit of proof that since the opposite of pro is con, the opposite of progress is Congress…
