Asian Noodles Month isn’t even half over yet, and I know you’re just dying for more information on your favorite tasty quick snack. Well, there will be more to come. Later, though. At the moment, other topics simply beckon more strongly.
Actually, that’s a polite way of saying there’s way too much going on, and I’m [...] Read more »

The sun comes up early in Shenzhen, and today it brought rain with it. In fact, a deluge. So much rain it had to get an early start, and the thunder and lightning preceded first light by about an hour. That left plenty of room for a second big storm to hit as dawn broke. [...] Read more »

The Roadtrip to Hell Great China Expedition continues from previous post…
Six hours later I was in line to load up. I peeked out the window at our aircraft: A brand-spanking new, Boeing 777-300ER. Not the expected “Queen of the Skies,” my favorite 747. Oh well, I like the Triple-Seven well enough. Just so I could [...] Read more »

Today was very hard. Just getting out of bed, after yesterday’s mad dash (and six extra hours due to time-zone relocations), is Very Hard. Realizing we’re not in Ireland anymore, well, that’s the Hardest of All…
It was fun, though. Grand, glorious fun! All the tasty pub grub; touring around Dublin, then travelling most of the [...] Read more »

Travel is such a pain, sometimes. We got up early and skipped breakfast, as we had a fairly early flight scheduled for our return to the States. (We didn’t want any breakfast, as we were afraid it would spoil our planned beef dinner on the plane.) PJ was slow to get started, and grumpy. Actually, [...] Read more »

We enjoyed one last, full Irish breakfast in the Maigue Restaurant this morning, then came the hard part: Saying goodbye to everybody. We’ve only been here a bit over a week, but somehow it feels like leaving family or something. Maybe that’s because the Dunraven Arms has treated us as family. Not the “inlaws and [...] Read more »
